mirtazapine, what do i do?

i was perscribed mirtazapine yesterday and i am not sure what to do?
have had various ssri's over the years and had a lot of bad reactions to some
have been med free for awhile and was hoping to stay that way but not been so good lately and now i have been perscribed something i have never heard of and im not sure if i want to take them sigh
life is never easy is it lol
would be grateful for any advice good or bad
