Weight Gain ?

Interested to hear any ones experiences with weight gain on prozac. I took 20mg for years but since taking 40mg my weight has piled on

Ive written before about weight gain on this forum..ive been taking 20mg for two months and have definitely put on a noticeable amount of weight -ie a dress size. my eating patterns have been quite bad so its difficult to differentiate weight gain caused by overeating or weight gain caused by prozac -but i know that i have put on weight in certain areas -which is exactly what happened when i went on the contraceptive pill -whereas when i put on weight from overeating i tend to put it on all over .

its a difficult one -because my weight gain makes me depressed( which is the reason i started taking it ) -so i have yet to feel the benefits of taking this drug and keep wondering if i should maybe just stop taking it ..or increase the dose ?! does anyone actually know how anti d's cause weight gain ?
