Dear Group, Of all the health benefits that placing a piece of a cotton ball in the ear does (by recreating the same pressure that the fetus does when it explores its ear with its finger) the one which occurs the quickest (in minutes) and in all human beings who have tried this is the relief of anxiety.
I wrote about this free simple method in a non commercial website www.thefetalcure.com. If you try this, and all you have to do is walk over to the medicine cabinet in your house and tear off a piece of a cotton ball that fits snugly in your ear without being uncomfortable to try this-thats all except I dont use this when I am using my computer because th radiation from a computer makes this not work well. If you are going to use this continuously please see warning near the begininning of my website.
I
t relieves my anxiety 100% in minutes. All people who have tried this (friends and acquaintances) tell me (and I can sse the change in their eyes) it reduces anxiety and makes them more calm very fast. In my website I mention another website by a woman clled www.thumbsuckingadults.com which is about another another fetal position , sucking the thumb, which causs the identical effect as creating a litle pressure in the ear with a part of a cotton ball. She has appeared on the TV show Extra and in newapaper stories in US and Canada. People write in to that website and tell her what happens to them when they suck their thumb and these are their exact words that I plucked from her website from emils from her readers: (sucking thumb causes) relaxation, calmness, comfort, pleasure, improved concentration and thinking, relief from boredom and fatigue and that it aided in sleep. The website states that some people find it so mentally comforting they develop a psychological dependence on it and some people report they are “ill without it.” The site states it has been scientifically determined it decreases heart rate, but has not otherwise been tested, and that it has no harmful side effects except in changing the teeth.---
This is not the same as acupressure . I have found that any of the common hand positions of the fetus in the womb are a trigger for turning on an amazing array of self healing systems in us. (Note that infants hold their their hands up like the fetus does any time they can physically do it as when they are put on their backs. Phtographs of the fetus show him usually in a position with his hands up near its lips whith no object in its hand (obviously, as we have with a book or telephone etc.) and he holds his hands stationary and that gives the same self healing result as sucking the thumb or putting our finger in our ear, like the fetus ,or putting a piece of cotton ball in our ear to mimic having our finger in our ear Our bodies can distinguish a synthetic object like a hearing aid or earplug from a natural one like a cotton ball and thus doesnt respond to the synthetic one.
U.S. News and World report had an article about a year ago about a method devised by a professor at Harvard Medicl School, Heidelise Als, whereby she helps premies thrive by recreating the conditions in the womb for them, including putting their hands up hear their lips which they say obviusly soothes them. She has written many medical journal articles about her studies confirming this and the practice is now used at hospitals all over the country. I wrote her to tell her that the fetal hand positions trigger a wide variety of healing effects but the SPEED that these positions relieve anxiety distinguish its effects on that problem from all the others its helps. Also many people have written me that they instinctively sleep with their hand or hands up near their shoulder or lips and that it aids in their sleep and all people I have ever asked about the cotton ball for sleep say that it helps in all aspect of sleep--- sleep depth , speed of going to sleep , ability to sleep longer and increased vivedness of dreams. Please let us know what happens if you try it. Sincerely, Steve Lord email lord4444444444@aol.com
