cipralex and long /irregular periods?

hi al..first time here,,so i managed to post in the wrong place and feel silly now :unsure: ive been taking 30mg since october last year and have found my periods to be extremely long and irregular and was told by nhs direct that it was the antidepressants causing it.
not to mention i was told by my gp that 20mg is the highest dose and at one point she refused to prescribe them to me ( psychologist prescribed them intially) and on top of that i have ms and all the symptoms of that to put up with,so long periods i can do without ,but the 30mg sure does keep my emotional lability in check!
