Citalopram
Hi everyone
My doc has increased my dose from 20mg to 30mg on Friday. I wish I had stuck with the 20mg as i have the awful symptoms of feeling dizzy not sleeping and feeling really anxious. Yesterday i wen to the cash point to get some money and i couldnt remember my pin number i ended up crying in the street thinking i was going mad, i also keep forgeting if i have asked the same question or not and i forget the names of things.
Has anyone else had these symptoms?
Please tell me im not going mad (well no more than normal)
Just need a little reasurance today im feeling abit down

Re: Citalopram
Hi Anna
You are not going mad. I have these symptoms too and I'm only on 10mg. My Dr's told me they can take a good few weeks to settle down. I'm 4 weeks now and having some good days. So hang on in there.
Love Karen

Re: Citalopram
ooh i was the same, that was just on 20mg. My anxiety was horrendeous, i couldn't sleep, couldn't get up, scared to be alone, sick... weight loss, couldn't eat, it was so frightening i had to stop. Felt i was going mad too :(
It has actually caused me a phobia of all medication :(
but i am sure you will be fine... hang on in there :winks:

Re: Citalopram
hiya,
i also got put up from 20mg to 30mg about 2 weeks ago,at first i felt awful i felt so tired and weak through the day then couldnt get to sleep on a night, for the first week i felt dizzy and light headed all the time. i also got the forgetfulness to over really silly little things.
iv been on them just over 2 weeks now and all the side affects have gone, the worst of them passed after a week.i nearly stopped taking them a few times but then thought about the long term affect they would have.
stick with them though the few weeks you get the side affects will be worth it if they make you feel better.
