Hip replacement

:) Has anyone on here had a total hip replacement. I had a bad accident on my horse a couple of years back, got dragged down the road by my right leg which dislocated my hip. The damage has not healed well and so January I am booked in for the op. I'm managing to keep my anxiety under control but whats really worrying me is how bad the pain is gonna be after. So just wondered if anyone on here has had a hip replacement.:D
