Anyone had experiences with both Fluoxetine and Sertraline?

I know medication affects everyone differently but I just wondered if you could tell me how they compare for you personally?

I've heard that Prozac is more energizing than Zoloft. I really dont want to feel any more fatigued than I already do. I need something that will help to give me "a lift" x

Sertraline is known as quite an energizing SSRI, so I wouldn't worry about being overly tired on it. If you have the choice of taking either then I'd recommend sertraline first, mainly because it kicks in so much faster than Fluoxetine.

I struggled with fatigue on Sertraline. I've been on prozac before and found the side effects bad at first but it did work for me in the end. I quit Sertraline after five weeks because of the fatigue but I've read loads of positive reviews about it. Everyone is different so it's about finding something that works for you.

I was put on sertraline for over a week and didn't sleep for 3 days, this came as a shock to the doctors who said it should calm me down but it had the opposite effect:doh: I had to change from them to citalopram and been okay since.
