Magnesium or magnesium and calcium? advice pls

HI All

Im in the process of withdrawing from seroxat and have managed to reduce down to 6mg. I am suffering now with extreme anxiety and have recently started to take vit b complex and siper epa omega 3. I have heard that magnesium is also good for anxity but not sure how to take it.

I have heard that it is only advisable to take for a week? is this true? Also is it best to take on its own as magnesium citrate or with calcium - im so confused.

I took magnesium on it's own, and it was very good for relieving muscle tension (in my opinion). I took it for about a month I think, with no adverse effects. If I remember correctly, that was 3 a day for 30 days.

I think the combined magnesium/calcium are to aid absorption, but I can't remember whether the calcium aids magnesium or the other way round.

Anyway, I took mine with vitamin B complex and St Johns Wort. This helped to a certain degree, although I am still searching for something that gets rid of it for good!

By the way, I have heard that most people are deficient in magnesium and I've never heard that you can only take it for a week.
