I don't know but I keep writing my r's backwards and have a strange urge to vote for a man with an orange face :roflmao:
I hope it is possible for the mods to track their IPs and block them from entering this page.
They've tried, he's changing IP's and getting around the registration questions. They stopped him earlier so I'm sure they will sort it.
I'm sure poor Elen has better things to do with her time rather than nuke these b*stards one by bleedin' one. A thankless task but all your efforts are very gratefully appreciated, Elen.
Currently 19 pages of spam. I think someone needs to fix it, rather than just deleting the threads.
We are doing lots behind the scenes to stop the influx of spam, somene has most definitely been trying to fix it since yesterday lunch time!
We have banned 75+ spammer accounts in the last 2 days!!
When we delete threads the member is also banned, unfortunately they then join up again and spam again. They are using many different IP addresses which means we can not ban an IP address to stop it.
Most of the spammers are also Robots (I think) which will sign up and can spam really fast and are hard to deal with.
We are getting there, new registrations are temporarily turned off until we have it sorted.
and as to what they are trying to acheive.....Some have websites as their home page on thier profiles.... some advertise websites and services in foreign languages but most of all most just want to cause as much interuption to the forum with what they are posting.....At least it isn't porn (yet) I guess :roflmao:
Thanks Elen and Emmz for their work on this today.
The posts are not offensive just annoying which is one good thing.
These are most likely Robots as Emmz said so it is hard to stop them at the moment and there is not just one IP address.
