Still have this anxious feeling after going to the doctors ?
Hello I am 19 with some pretty bad health anxiety. I found a lump on my lip about 4 years ago. Started panicking about it like 2 weeks ago. Last friday I went to a doctor, he said its definitaly benign, but did not look on it enough. 2 days ago I decided to go another doctor, and she was very good, examined it, and said everything is good. The thing is, even though I am not so anxious anymore, there is still this weird feeling and a little anxiety that maybe she did not look on it enough, maybe she is wrong. Before I went to the doctor, I went on the forum of the cancer I thought I had and some people were misdiagnosed. Both of these 2 docs I have seen were ENTs (specialists). I do try to trust them, but have can I get rid of this stupid feeling on doubt ? Thanks.

Your original specialist did look at it enough, we discussed on your thread about this in some detail .....

You are now thinking the same about your second opinion, as you are about your first opinion...they didn't look enough and you don't trust them. A cancer site really isn't the right place to be - you will always find on there the most awful and rare cases that bear no relation to your own situation.
How you are responding to these two checks is entirely symptomatic of health anxiety, standard for many people.

Yeah true, thanks for responding. I hope it goes away, its no that bad. Just a little anxious feeliing.
