What kind of hobbies have helped people with there anxiety and panic?
thinking of trying knitting or something
like that.
I think anything that helps absorb the mind works! I bake, paint, colour in pictures, make origami, do sudoku etc.
Can I put my order in for Xmas jumper now? :yesyes:
My GF does crochet. She has done some knitting of small animals like toys. How about something like that for your little girl? Would she like a new cuddly toy for Xmas?
The magazines for things like knitting usually have the wool for the pattern they have included. Many of these are woolly penguins for Xmas or other animals across the year. My GF sais they are not that difficult to make.
My mum has been knitting for many years. She always knits baby jumpers. Then she gives them to friends who have kids who pregnant or to the local charity shop.
Knitting is good. Mind you I have so many half finished scarves it's ridiculous. :D
There not really hobbies, but I enjoy crossword puzzles or reading a book (these days mainly about anxiety/panic attacks). I also really enjoy cooking. I try and have the television or music on most of the time as I find it provides a distraction from my thoughts. Xx
anything that really occupies your mind works well for me, puzzles and quizzes are good or anything with david attenborough. love his voice and knowledge and his programmes are so amazingly filmed they tend to give you an hour where you are pretty much going `wow`
oh and weeding the garden, I pretend each weed is another bad habit or fear I`m getting rid of. not exactly scientific but it seems to help.
thanks guys really appreciate your suggestions!!!!!
Crosswords and sudoku. Painting. Any arts and crafts, creative projects. Walking. Even housework (when I'm desperate:huh:)
thanks
