At my wits end. I'm constantly poorly. Am I dieing?

It all started afew week ago. I was hit with a cold and a cough. I felt dreadful. I'd wake in the morning feel like I had a huge hangover. Anyhow a week later it started to clear up and I was feeling slightly better. Then last week it came back again. Sore throat, cough and just feeling rotten. Then I noticed my neck was hurting. I found 3 lymph nodes bundled together all swollen. Well this sent me on meltdown. I'm 30 years old a smoker of 19 years aswel. Doctor ran some bloods, full blood count, crp, liver, kidneys, electrolytes ect. All came back normal. No infection, no inflammation. So he is now referring me for a biopsy on my lymph node. I'm terrified. I'm poorly all the time. No energy, coughing, dizzy, tiredness and i actually feel as though I'm dieing. I'm at my wits end here. What is going on with me? I fear I may not see my children grow up. I can't cope help x

I'm surprised your Dr. is referring you to biopsy so soon, particularly after getting the blood work back clear. Lymph nodes can take ages to go down after an infection, weeks to even months. To be honest, they might never go down - some of mine have been enlarged for years.

I presume your doctor is doing this out of an abundance of caution. Is he a younger doctor?

Anyway, good luck with it. Don't Google symptoms of scary things. Believe me, symptoms of a cold can fit a lot of bad illnesses if you WANT them to!
