Pins and needles at night!
Please can someone give me some advise? I have suffered on and off with anxiety for years and generally cope well with the symptoms, however one thing is really scaring me. Occaisionaly when I go to bed I have been waking with a start with a pounding heart and pins and needles in my feet and hands. It usually happens just after I have dozed off. What scares me is the feeling of complete fear that comes with it. I have suffered with hyperventilation before and that usually effects my lips, but this is different. I try to see if I have led on something to cause it, but, like last night for instance my legs were straight out. The pins and needls effect my toes and feet and hands. My heart feels like it will explode and I just feel shaky and frightened. I am left today with a sense of anxiety because I am so worried it something serious. It only seems to happen when I have drifted off at night though. Can anyone help or reassure me. I did mention it once to my doc, but he said he didn't know what it was and didn't sound like anything serious. Thankyou for taking the time to read this.
