Makes you think
A fellow anxiety sufferer emailed this to me, it made me think.
Two Wolves
An Elder Cherokee Native American
Was teaching his grandchildren about life.
He said to them: “A fight is going on inside me…”
“It is a terrible fight
and it is between two wolves.”
“One wolf represents fear, anxiety, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
“The other stands for joy, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”
“The same fight is going on inside of you and inside of every other person , too.”
They thought about it for a minute. And then one child asked his grandfather...
“Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee Simply replied…
“The one you feed.”

Oh I so like that - love those sort of parables, right up my street.
Thank you Nichola.
Love Piglet :)
"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

It was REGISTRATION DAY at the university, and the young man was preparing to continue the adventure in learning that had been going on so long it seemed to have no beginning and no end. Lost in thought, his mind racing with possibilities for what lay ahead, he barely noticed the old man in front of him until he bumped straight into him
"I'm sorry Professor," the young man said embarrassed.
"Oh, I'm not a professor," the old man replied. I'm a new student, just like you.
"But how old are you?" the young man said in shock.
"I'm seventy-three," the old man said with a twinkle in his eye.
"And what are you studying?" the young man continued.
"Medicine - I've always wanted to be a Doctor, and now....." The old man paused as if remembering something from a long time ago. "Now, I'm finally ready to follow my dreams!"
The young man seemed quite shocked. "No disrespect, sir, but to become a Doctor will take at least seven years. In seven years, you'll be eighty years old!"
The old man put his hand on the young man's shoulder and looked him straight in the eyes.
"God willing," the old man smiled "I'll be eighty years old whether I follow my dreams or not."
