E Cigs?
I'm aware that some brands of e-cig carry a warning telling people not to use them while on SSRIs. From what I understand there is no interaction with Cit (or so the lady from NHS Direct told me), so why do they carry this warning?
Also does anyone here take Cit and smoke e-cigs?

Re: E Cigs?
I'm certainly not an expert and this is not a pharmaceutical opinion, but offhand I think there are two different cases to consider:
(1) if you are already smoking and thus getting a regular dose of nicotine, then the e-cigs shouldn't change much of anything and might even be beneficial by displacing the unhealthy habit of smoking;
(2) if on the other hand you're currently not smoking or getting nicotine in your system by some other means, then it would not be wise to start while on cit.
You generally want to avoid any stimulants or mood changers- cigs, caffeine, sweets etc. while on SSRIs because you're aiming for a more 'even' mood overall. Particularly as we start cit, mood variations can be rather extreme, and we certainly don't want to do anything to worsen that. Also, cit can give rise to impulsive thoughts and actions while simultaneously decreasing inhibition, so we all need to be on the lookout and avoid letting the med lead us toward unhealthy behaviors.
