Re: is this part of it too??
Hey,
I had the same side effects and even a bit of travel sickness which I had never had before. They do pass after a few weeks. I found it was helpful to eat something small after taking the cit. Even if it was just a slice of toast. I didn't always feel like eating but it actually really helped with the sickness to have something light.
Hope that helps a little bit but if not it will probably pass on it's own after a little while longer.
Mitch :)
Re: is this part of it too??
Hi Mitch. its surprising how super sensitive we become when in this state. I think what makes it worse is that I am on my own during the day so have plenty of time to mull over things.
Thanks again .Jean
Re: is this part of it too??
Hey Jean,
I know what you mean. My worst week on the Cit was week three. I felt my depression was quite bad but by around the fourth week I started to feel so much better. I didn't mull things over so much and I didn't feel so drained and down.
I'm glad I kept going until the meds settled down more. For me it was worth it but difficult to keep that in mind on the bad days! My incentive was that it worked wonders on my anxiety from quite early on. The depression lifted later, after the four week mark.

Hope is for everyone not just a chosen few
Hi Jean
One thing I learnt really early on when starting Citalopram was to never trust a fart!!! Gross but true... It will get better, after 3 weeks or so the side effects settle down.
Take care
