Singing for breathlessness! It really can help!
Hi all, so I have been struggling with breathlessness symptom the last few days, and I have been avoiding singing because I have felt so exhausted and out of breath -I haven't been able to make my singing lessons in a few weeks due to terrible anxiety and fatigue. But I discovered after trying yesterday it seems to help!
If you sing properly- from your diaphragm and sing a song you really like, you'll probably find not only does it take your mind from your symptoms but it regulates your breathing (and proves you CAN breathe!)
Just a little tip I discovered!

I agree with you. Singing enables you to use all of your lung capacity just like deep breathing exercises, instead of just using the top half of your lungs, which alot of anxious people tend to do and which results in over breathing and that disrupts the fine balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen. This is why some therapists recommend breathing into a paper bag to restore the balance.

Wow! :D I like singing a lot and I didn't know it.; Thanks a lot!
When my nose is blocked, I try to do exercise like running around my room, it actually helps me to catch my breath again. :)
But singing is a great tip as well :D Thanks for letting me know!
