scar cover-up
I'm not sure which forum topic this would go under, but I thought i'd post it here. I WAS a cutter and now I have scars all over my arms and wrists, noticiable scars. Usually they would not bother me, but since summer is on it's way I am desperate for something to cover them.I bought some dermablend coverup, but im not too impressed with the results. Does anyone know anything that works well to cover them?

Re: scar cover-up
Hi...
I would also love to know this answer. I have self harm scars on my arms AND acne scarring all over my face and in the summer if i get the slightest bit of colour on my face the scars are really noticable. I've been looking into having a chemical peel because the scars on my face are so horrendous.
I hope you find something...

Re: scar cover-up
Hi there!
I'm interested in this topic as I've got quite a few scars from my acne. Had a quick google and it pulled up thousands of sites and products all claiming to get rid of scars. I'm sceptical though...Professional scar removal ranges from between £200 and £2500 according to the BUPA website. However, as a less drastic measure I've heard wheatgerm oil is very good and on the Boots website, they sell a Scar Reduction pad for £19.99, which consists of two adhesive sheets that can be used all over the body and helps to fade existing scars and reduce the impact of scars from recently healed wounds.

Try Bio Oil
http://www.bio-oil.info/en/home
I have some and use it for scars that I have from burning myself on the oven.
It costs around £14 I think but could be worth it and it is supposed to work really well.

Re: scar cover-up
Hi Nicola...
I have shares in Bio-Oil...lol
I've been using it for about 6 months or more and i'm 3/4 through my second bottle - so far....no good.
Sadly, due to the size and colour of my scarring, it is REALLY noticable from quite a distance. Last year when the rest of me was brown i was covering the scars with St. Tropez fake tan, what "people" failed to tell me and i am too stupid to notice, is that the fake tan was a completely different colour from my tanned skin......nice people around me.
My husband has a massive issue with my facial scarring. He HATES it. The acne has happened since we've been together but the self harm ones have been there for yonks.
I hate my face, its horrible and i pity anyone who has to look at me.
