    Neck and back pain

Hi all, I haven't been on in a while as I think I have been doing a little bit better, but I've now managed to terrify myself into a state of anxiety again.

Basically, about a month or so ago I woke up with a really sore and stiff neck, it was bad for a couple of days and then gradually got abit better. The trouble is, it doesn't seem to have healed completely, I can look left or right fine but when I try and bend my head onto my left shoulder I feel a dull pain in the left side of my neck.

I also seem to be having some back trouble at the moment, nothing major just a couple of twinges here and there. Could this be a result of sleeping in an uncomfortable position? Of course I have started to terrify myself with thoughts of tumours and all sorts which has just heightened my anxiety and I seem to be checking my neck and back for lumps every chance I get.

It could be that you need a new mattress, pillows or bed even.

If it doesn't get any better ask your GP to refer you for some physio which will help.
