I want to know if i can reduce my citalopram from 40mg to 20mg really want to try and stop taking it, do u think I would be ok doing this?

I have gone from 20mg to 10mg but did it very gradually - best to discuss with your GP the best way of doing it as if you go too quickly you can get some withdrawal symptoms like feeling dizzy or head shocks. You will do it - keep on trying!

See your GP. Don't reduce it without consulting your GP since apart from the obvious, it would not help the trust and goodwill you share with your GP.

Just to add another "Go and see your GP first" comment too. They'll discuss the reasons why you want to reduce the dose and the best way to do this.
