Can you get support towards your travel?

    Hi there,

I wonder if anyone as any advice for me.

Lately i have trying to battle with my driving Phobia but im afraid i havent been doing too well, and have decided to give my driving up for a while,
I have returned to work recently doing around 15 hours a week, and as i dont use public transport because of my agorophobia i am having to get a taxi there and back each day which is costing me 10 pounds for a return trip. I was wondering if i could get any benifit which would help pay for my taxi fares, as i feel at the moment i am working to pay for my taxi fares. I dont get any kind of benfits and was wondering if anyone else got a benifit towards there travel.

    Thankyou

    Love

    Hi Honeybee,

I've recently been told about this by my OT. As I'm going to be getting used to going in taxi's again soon. I've been sent the form this morning.

    Good luck with it,

    Take Care,

    Heather x

Try this link. I was unable to drive for 12 months due to panic and anxiety. I go my taxis paid for for 12 months through access to work, they were going to cost me £50 a day and instead I paid £20 a week towards them. I could not have continued work without this.

    hope this helps you
