Only just caught up with this thread again today.So any news on a suitable flat yet I would let your support worker(s) deal with any improvements like wheel chair access walk in bath/shower etc think you have done enough let them take the strain XX ATB

no news on a flat yet. I'm finally getting an O.T assessment this Wednesday coming. I've to tell the O.T that i need my door ways widen for my 4 wheeled walker and wheelchair, I need walk in shower, more help and support. I need a ramp to get in and out with ease with 4 wheeled walker and wheelchair, plus ask to be put on top priority of housing list so that I get offered an amenity house/flat. I know I could be waiting years and that there is other disabled people with more problems.

after I have my assessment I also to request a copy of the report.

to send to all the housing associations. then I'll phone the wheelchair people to get extra support that I need.

ask to be assessed by their O.T.

I keep ya all posted on how things go.

Plus I'm going to write to Glasgow legal services to get a copy of my medical report and scan reports. too many doctors telling different stories to my family and myself.

We have the same problem here at our local chemist and have to travel to town to get medicine . It is such a nuisance. All the best for the days ahead xxx

I found another Chemist, have to go into another town. which is a bit out of the road. I go when I can drive, going to try driving round the block tomorrow until I feel comfortable going into town, to go to the other town.

today went out for the day with my daughter, she was driving my car, I wanted so much to be looking in the mirror to see what was behind me, it was good to see the scenery when usually the driver only has a glimpse at it. overall I had a good day out.

this has given me the boast to get behind the wheel again. here hoping tomorrow will not be a bad rainy day.

Today looks quite nice outside, my small goal today Most High willing, is to go into the car and maybe go round the block taking my time and see how I manage and cope with it.

will do this after my lunch today. if I manage well, I drive down to town and get my prescription picked up. will go another day to the chemist, just want to do short journeys until I build my strength up.

Went for wee drive round the block in my car, I was nervous at first, after round the block went the shop I goto to top up my key card for gas heating. My friend went in to shop to get it.

Then we went to pick my prescription up. Now went got shopping.

Im resting in the car. My friend finishing the shopping. Then i go for wee drive to finish it off for today. Goal completed.

Im enjoying myself.

The O.T came today, she is going to speak to the O.T at the council and see what houses are available with no steps. see how long I would wait to be offered one. if none available how long will it take for flat to come available. then the O.T will have a rough idea of how long things might take, then put in for grants to widen doors ways, walk in shower and a possible ramp.

She will contact me next week. I keep y'all up to date when I know more.

it would be good if the local chemist did the prescription that I need. no got to go another town.

I was alright this morning, now I'm feeling so drained, maybe after some lunch I'll have some energy. I'll just have to wait and see. its a good thing I still got some of the meds.

see how I feel this afternoon. might go, then again might not go.
