Burning in my throat when I eat and a lump in my throat

It has gradually come on over the last few weeks. I feel like I have a lump in my throat which I dont tend to notice first thing but I become more aware of it once I have started eating/drinking. I only notice it when I swallow.

I have also developed this burning sensation in my throat when I eat and drink. Sometimes its there after I have eaten but not always. Ita mainly while I am eating.

I can't get a drs appt for 2 WEEKS and I am really worried can anyone help me xxxxx

Exactly what it sounds like to me as well.

Ruined a couple of years of my life fretting I had throat c***** and messed something big up as a result of my mind not being where it should be before I saw the Dr and got omeprazole which sorted it straight out.

Thanks everyone, its just the long wait until I see the dr that isnt helping :(

Those are exactly the symptoms I was having, they got worse over the course of the day, to the point where at night I couldn't sleep because of it. It turned out to be reflux of course, but that does not help you to keep the fear of the 'worst' in your head. I bet it will turn out to be reflux. Good luck with it, try to remain calm and ask for an ENT specialist appointment and don't leave the surgery until you have that referral. All it is is a very very fine tube up a nostril and down into your throat, not at all painful, just weird feeling, and you will be able to look at the camera screen too, bet you see redness at the opening of your throat..................... reflux!
