Has anyone had this side effect? I've been on citalopram for 26 days now and the side effects have been fairly minimal. Had a bit of nausea, headaches and that's been about it. Until today when I started suffering with flatulence. This could be embarrassing if out in public (I'm very relieved that I'm at home and I don't have to go out anywhere). Hope it doesn't continue for too long.
I've been on Citalopram for 18 months and I'm just coming off. Yes for most of that time I had trouble with occasional upset stomach or diarrhea. What helped me was to buy some Imodium (or generic equivalent - much cheaper!) and take it once or twice a week to help keep things under control.
