Funnily enough I am the opposite with this.
Whilst I love the long days of summer I find it much easier to get out and about in the dark, so in winter I don't have to wait until all hours to get out and the shops are open!!!!!
Plus I like to get into little hobbies and stuff in the winter!
Have you got any extra pursuits that you could get stuck into over these months?
Love Piglet
"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.
Hi there
I agree with Piglet - start making your home as comfy and snug as poss. I find touching different textures quite relaxing so make sure I have fluffy cushions/silk throws/suede curtains/fleece blankets, etc etc. Candles that smell nice and coloured light bulbs are all cheap ways to make yourself feel safe and secure and promote that 'feel good' cosy snug feeling.
Hope that helps!!!

Hi
I am getting exactly the same. As soon as we go past the longest day, all I can focus on is the dark nights coming!
Have you tried daylight bulbs?
when the nights start getting dark, I try to fool myself by shutting curtains and turning lights on really early so I dont notice when it actually gets dark. It works until you get to about November?
Ditto on this one.
I dread the winter i spend half the year wishing my life away round to the spring again!

Look into Vitamin D-3 , it is expecially crucial for the dark days of winter. It has also been know to help people with anxiety in the winter months. I too hate the cold dark days of winter. They seem so long.

I don't like the dark. But I am the opposite because I prefer autumn and winter!
In the summer (this one particularly) I have been too hot. Every time I get hot I feel panicky because I get hot & cold sweats when I panic and rfind it hard to tell the difference between panic and normal body responses.
Roll on winter.
Lisa.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel or is that an oncoming train?
hi trevor
i love the winter i like the cold but like you i hate the dark nights i feel trapped in the house and seem to have more time to panic .

Hi,
I hope we dont have a long winter like the last one. I changed bedrooms so that I now have a south facing one, much brighter!!
Thank heavens for NMP to shed some light on us through the dark winter nights!
