any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i was put on sertraline and i had the same problem. A common side effect i know but with me it wasnt very nice. Continuously going to the toilet eventually takes a physical effect on you, it was more like i had food poisoning lol. My GP said i should come of them and go onto something else. Within a day of coming off is i was back to normal if you like. I was on it for less time than you. Go see your GP if you are finding it troublesome or you are getting no real benefit from it.

Hi, I have been having the same problems with Setraline since I moved from 50mg to 100mg a day. My bowels explode about 2 - 3 hours after taking the tablet. I spoke to my doctor about this and he wanted me to perserve. I even kept a detailed food diary of what I was eating as certain foods might react with the drug in some people. Strangely my movements are looser and sorer if I eat pineapple!!! However I can't really bear the inconvenience any more so I am going to docs Monday.

I think I have just started to have this side effect a week after going onto 75mg.

Is it normal because on 25mg and 50mg, I never had this.

    Also getting nausea.

I have been the same since I started Sertraline in Feb. It is not so bad now, and I think it may also be the magnesium citrate I am taking as it has a laxative effect
