I found a lump on my tummy a few weeks ago

Yeah so one morning I brushed my hand off my tummy and felt this lump, it's on the left side across from my hipbone before my belly button, just over/above where your pubic hair starts to grow.

It was never there before, anyways I didn't take much notice and it seemed to go away.
Then I noticed it again, it was very hard and I got my mum to feel it so I knew it was real well after I pressed on it, it popped back in and disappeared.

I've since felt it one more time but it seemed smaller?

I tend to avoid things that make me anxious so I've not touched it since.

My dilemma is if I do go to the doctor, what if it's not there that day and he can't feel it? I'm pretty sure they already think I'm a hypochondriact :/
I'm afraid they'll think I am imagining it.

Hi my husband had something similar and it was a lymph gland.

I made him go to the doctor because of my HA and she wasn't in the least bit concerned and said it was probably just due to a localised infection (even though he had no evidence of one) she gave him a prescription for antibiotics which he never took and it just went of its own accord after a couple of weeks.

Could be something similar?

x
