My daughter did when she was little, for suspected meningitis.

Are you due to have one?

My son had one when he was a baby, its not supposed to be very pleasant and can be quite painfull, i know he screamed the place down :-( x x

I had one on thursday and my head is horrendous.

It seems that headaches are a well know after effect.. but I can't find anywhere that says how long they normally last. Have a look at this BUPA site on the procedure - it tells you to make sure you're hydrated as dehydration can worsen the headaches... http://www.bupa.co.uk/individuals/he...umbar-puncture

I think I'd be tempted to call the department where you had it done, tomorrow, to check this is normal pain to be expected 3 days on from the procedure.
