sharp stabbing pains in head

I've been off work for 5 days with sharp stabbing pains on the left side of my head , have been fitting , feeling sick and having hiccups and blurred vision, just had an eye test and nothing wrong with my eyesight , just waiting for the hospital to ring to arrange my MRI scan , hope its just a headache or migraine, but concerned
