Finally I have got the courage to ask my doctor to refer me for CBT. I know it will take a while to get me seen to, but anyone got any advice on what I should expect??

Expect a long waiting list. But it does depend highly on where you live. I've heard some people only waiting 4 weeks and some over a year. Apart from that the first session will help you understand what you will expect from the sessions, depends on what you need the most help on (i.e. OCD, anxiety, depression, panic attack etc). You're expected to do homework, which is often doing a diary or working on an experiment, and some sessions can be harder than others, but it is all well worth it
