head ache and vomiting

hiya,

last nite i woke up with the worse headache that i have ever had, it was so intense and it made me throw up and i got so scared, i have now woke up with my body feeling so weak and heavy, i thought it was meningjitus or a brain tumor or stroke, so hard trying to keep myself calm this morning, any reasurence out there?

If its any consolation to you i suffer with horrendous headaches,especially at times of bad anxiety and PA 's.

The headache you said you have sounds like a migraine,with the sickness etc.The pain is so bad it knocks you sick literally.The best thing for this is just to lie still(hard to do when your heads pounding i know) in a darkened room and take some painkillers.

I too suffer with migraines and sometimes i can feel really crap for a few days even after the headaches dissapeared.Try not to worry about it being something serious because a headache is very rarely a sign of a brain tumour,its more often other symptoms that are not associated with your head and same goes for the meningitis too.

Ive had all the necessary scans done a few years ago when they were really bad because i kept thinking"how can anyone have pain this bad and there not be something seriously wrong..?" but everything turned out ok.
Its just another s..t symptom to add to the long list of what we call anxiety i'm afraid and it too will pass..

Sounds like what I get as well - migraines. Mine last for about two days, and nothing helps it. Except like mentioned to lie still in a dark room.
I try to really focus on the way my head is feeling, that usually makes it a little easier to bear.
Also, mine tend to come about a week before my period.

when i have them i am sick and feel really weak can hardly walk.

even after the migraine i'm rough for a couple of days

like hexia said lie still in a dark room, i put a freezer pack on my head as my temperature usually gets really high
