Thanks ..i have been on for 4 weeks, and did not feel this before. But I am finally up to 5mg and I got all itchy..I am not getting a bad rash (at least not yet), but itchy, like I have prickly heat on my arms, legs and the palms of my hands...

yes, i had it on 20 and 10, even something like rash, now i reduced to 5 and i plan to stop it.i cant take the side effects anymore like nausea and being tired and sleepy all the time...im 2 months on this.

Cit works on the histamine receptors so itchiness can be a side effect. I had this last week for about 3 days.

It was one of my main side effects on Cit...... bloody annoying but it does pass

Thanks for replies..Then I will not freak out ( I freak out over everything). I really don't want to give up on this med as I have been on 4 1/2 weeks now. I just need to feel some improvement. Yesterday I had such a panic attack almost called emergency services. Now I have this prickly itching..Has anyone tried escitalopram and felt it is better with less side effects?? thanks

Last year i wason escit and it caused me some movement disorders and nausea, it only helped me tosleep.
