Worried about the number of paracetamol i take

    Hi Guys

Im really concerned about the number of paracetamols i take. I am having to take about 2 - 4 every or every other day.

Its a mixture of having a bad back which causes headaches, severe time of the month headaches and coming off seroxat which is causing headaches.

I constantly have a headache which makes me worry i have a tumour and then when i dont worry about that i worry the damage i am doing to myself with the paracetamol.

can someone reassure me? im very scared and worried

    Morning Otis,

Perhaps an obvious response but .... don't exceed the recommended daily dosage!

Have you thought about a herbal alternative to paracetamol?

    Happiness and light to all,
    'Chopper'

I saw her once, one little while, and then no more:
’Twas Eden’s light on Earth a while, and then no more.
Amid the throng she passed along the meadow-floor:
    Spring seemed to smile on Earth awhile, and then no more;
But whence she came, which way she went, what garb she wore
I noted not; I gazed a while, and then no more!

    Hi Otis,

Your parrotseatthemall doseage is within the guidelines for use but I can understand and relate to your concern.

I to suffer from the headaches that you describe and I find that Ibuprofen based painkillers can be more effective. However, it may be that the root cause of your headaches of tension, as mine is. I am finding sometimes these headaches just will not shift and I am coming round to trying to find alternatives, particularly dealing with the tension.

In the past I had deep muscle massage for my back and right up into the back of me head, the relief that gave me was significant and lasted years!!! I now find trying activities to change my thought processes otr finding relaxation helps just as much, if not mere than the meds.

Hope that is of some use to you.

    Take care Otis

    Iain

    Hi Otis,

I know its dame hard put try not to worry about paracetamol, you are not taking to many so that iS fine. There are many people who have to take pain killers on a reguler bases, every single day and they are fine.

Relaxation, is a good for tensiton headach, but also exercise can be good for it too, espeically time of the month.

    TAKE CARE

    Hi Otis
I take paraceramol 2 x 4 times daily for chronic back pain and my doc also says it isn't a problem at that dosage

    Hi there

I once asked my doctor about this as I suffer from a lot of headaches and neck pain and was taking paracetemol and ibuprofen every day for weeks on end. And a lot more than you are currently taking. She told me that it was ok. As long as you stay within the daily recommended dose. You'll be ok.
