Mouth biopsy - worried

Have to have a mouth biopsy on a white patch tomorrow in my mouth and I'm scared. The doc said I would need some stitches... Has anyone had one and do they hurt? How much flesh do they take? :(
So worried it's something really bad
I have been doing well since I saw the consultant and trying to forget about it, but now it's tomorrow.....
