Newbie! Doseage question.

Hi everyone,
This is my first post on here. I was put on 20mg fluoxetine about 5weeks ago. Prior to that I was using a betablocker for the physical feelings of anxiety which I still take too. When I started the fluoxetine I had horrid side effects, lack of appetite, sickness, tiredness, increased anxiety and panic. Then I had about a week anxiety free which was great! Sadly now I am feeling the anxiety creeping back. Dr had mentioned possibility of increasing the dose but I am worried about side effects returning if I increase it. Does anyone have experience of side effects returning when dose is increased?

Hi, I was in 20mg fluxetine for a few months. I had the same horrible side effects. My dosage was increased to 40mg about 3 weeks ago. The side effects have returned, I'm feeling more nausea and anxious but I figured that this would happen and hopefully won't be around for too much longer.

Dr called today and as suspected I've been bumped up to 40mg. Time will tell I suppose, hopefully if they do come back it won't last long. Thanks for your reply and I hope you feel better soon xx
