Benign PVCs (skipped / missed beats) a good bit of info

Hi all

I recently wore a 7 day holter monitor and have to go back to see the cardiologist tomorrow. I am a bit worried although I think it's unnecessary. Am sure he's just going to say I'm getting benign PVCs (I felt a few whilst wearing the monitor, pleased to say as they never flipping show up on the short ECGs, do they ?!). I have had an echocardiogram and that was all good and I am lucky in that I don't ever feel faint from them ... just super scared by them !

Hi Lisa, thanks for the link...some parts of it were a bit scary to read but most of it made good sense. Ive suffered with benign PVC's for the last 37 years...most days a few and every once in a while continuous and lasting days. I take propranolol for mine and they help loads...wouldn't be without this med, as this doctor says they're the best for this condition and do the least amount of harm since they can be taken as and when and aren't mind-altering drugs. As he said, sufferers search for reasons why they happen but often you just have to say 'just because'. Some of us are more sensitive to feeling them. My husband is only aware of his if he has his BP taken because they then show up on the monitor...he can't feel them like I do, not fair!
