Quiz Night Saturday 30th August 2014

Just to let you know that the Quiz Room will be open for business at the usual time of 9pm this Saturday!

There will be 30 questions on general knowledge, including of course the rude place names question, the call my bluff question and the maths question. As always, newcomers are

The first half of the quiz will be the competition round - pit your wits against current champions Nic and Gatsby, and see if you can win this time round!

The second half of the quiz as usual will be just for fun, where you keep your own score and there are no winners or losers.

Dear Paul.....

Five pound coins are legal tender but are intended as souvenirs and are almost never seen in circulation. The Royal Mint states frankly "most retailers will refuse to accept them". However, the coins may be spent at all post offices.

"almost never" BUT they are still in circulation and your question said 'circulation' and not 'general circulation' so we should have got a point hahahaha
