I USED TO GET THE BANGING IN MY HEAD. IT SOUNDS LIKE A GUN SHOT GOING OFF IN YOUR HEAD.IWOULD USUALLY GET THAT WHEN I WAS IN BED. JUST AS I WAS GOING OFF TO SLEEP. ITS ALL DOWN TO ANXIETY. The best thing to do is distract yourself.

Run around, do a crossword puzzle anything for distraction.

i get this aswell when i am just about to doze off. In my head it sounds like two metal guirder's crashing together and make's me feel a little dizzy. Wish i knew how to stop it myself.

Sorry i can't be of any help, it only happens to me in bed so what i do is sit up and it goes away.

I think we've all had it at some time.

I belive it's us becoming hypersensitive to blood flow - some people say tinitus is caused in a similar fashion.

A couple of thoughts, have you felt anything about talking to someone face to face about this
