    Please help need reassurance

    Hi,

5 days ago I felt incredibly unwell so went to my doctor who checked my urine and discovered blood and white cells in it. It was prescribed Trimethoprim an anti biotic and yesterday (day 4) I felt really unwell again, shaky and basically horrible. Rang Doctors and was told that my urine sample was back and was normal and that I'm probably having side affects from the Trimethoprim and she told me to stop and prescribed 500mg 3 times a day Amoxicillin.

Right now in feeling really off colour and a bit shakey, temperature 37.4 but I'm taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, also I've no appetite. I'm panicking basically, terrified it'll get worse and I have to go to hospital, please help I'm scared

Antibiotics can make you feel crap for a while. Might be best to cut out taking ibuprofen and paracetamol together - stick to one instead.

You won't end up in hospital though - let your body recover and you should feel better by tomorrow.
