Hello. I currently work in a field where my hearing is very important.
Today I was playing volleyball with a bunch of random people.
Someone happened to nail the ball into my ear that already has an issue. Could the ball impacting my ear cause hearing loss?
I wish I never played. I regret it so much. I should've just watched....I am so anxious now that I just ruined my hearing because I wanted to play a game of volleyball. and the person who hit me was not pleasant..

If you burst an eardrum from the impact it would be known straight away as Nic says.
Put the risk into perspective, rationalise it e.g. boxers get hit around the ears all the time so their risk is far higher than yours and the impact they will feel will be greater but they may never have this issue.
