I've been getting these off & on for a few years. When it first started, it was mostly when I get out of the car & walk into a store. Never any pain. My hearing pulses like someone has their hands over my ears (dulled hearing) then opens their hands (clear hearing) then closes, etc. It's not like hearing your breathing or heartbeat when you have ear plugs in. This is a whole head thing. No pain anywhere else. I have found that when this starts happening again, that I'm also having a period of time where exertion (like going up stairs or walking fast) makes me out of breath & muscles feel fatigued. This started about 16 yrs ago. There has been a period of 4 yrs with no reccurence. It has started up again & now it happens when I lying down too. I am 65 & in excellent shape. When I am not in this "mode", I exercise by walking & I'm full of energy. Sometimes this last for a day, sometimes it is for months. I've had bp taken while it was happening & bp was fine. I've seen many Dr's & no one has answers. I haven't noticed any connection to stress, but will watch to see if maybe I haven't made that connection. If you get any medical answers, please post.
