Bruise with thick purple looking vein?

I'll get right to it!

I've had many blood tests, and a few bruises in my life. But this time... this is different, and I'm really worried it might be serious??

The test went as normal, first day I noticed bruising, normal. But as each day past, it got worse. Now 3 days or so after the test, there's a thick purple line underneath where the injection was.

I have included an image! (some of the lighter markings are leftover from a plaster I left there- not a part of the problem!)

I have scheduled an appointment with the doctor but it's not until next week, and I really need to know if this is okay or something really bad!
