    This morning (tommorow)

Just heard them say on this morning tv, that tommorow they have a guest on who went thru horrible depression and panic attacks, I didnt catch the guests name but I guess he is famous cos it showed a photo of him holding a guitar. Didnt say what time it was on which is a shame cos I am out 9am - 10am

    Re: This morning (tommorow)

    wow wow wow !!!

Did you watch it , did you watch it ?
Its mike oldfield, who did tubular bells.
His book is called ???? and goes to the charity "sane"

What an amazing interview, he spoke of how from a very very young age he didnt feel that he belong, in this world, in his family ect.

He explained that he felt panicky, and he didnt know why, he said he felt like there was a devil in him or something horrible.
Basically he under went help and was trained to do "little sighs" then to increase their power untill in the end he built it up to BIG screams as loud as he could do it. He said he lay on the floor and felt like he had this huge relief like his stomach had exploded. Then the panicky feeling went away.

I will try to find out the books name.

what do you think of it ?

    Hi mirry!

Yes I watched it, and I must say it was nice to actually hear someone on the tv actually talking about their experience with anxiety.
And also it being someone famous!
I think his book could prove to be a good read so I will most definatly buy it!

    Thanks Mirry!

I didn't see the programme, but have just read the article and his story was fascinating yet sad.

I have both Tubular Bells and Ommadawn in my CD collection.

This is yet another example whereby a disturbed teenager has 'escaped' to find a career in the world of arts and entertainment. I think that world has more than an abnormally high proportion of people who have been emotionally troubled.
