Weird feeling in throat..cancer?

This past week, I have had this feeling like there's something in my throat and it's got me freaked out about esophageal cancer. Just over 2 months ago, I had full blood workups and nothing was off in my bloods but that was 2 months ago. I am scared shitless thinking about what this could be. I have requested an appointment with an ENT doctor but I might have to wait a bit. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

Yes I have it plus some esophageal symptoms! My daughter (32) had the lump in the throat last year so she saw an ENT specialist and had a scope, which was all clear. He told her that most of his consultations are about this, it's common to all age groups, and can be stress related. My daughters lump in the throat disappeared once she knew the scope was all good

I have a feeling this thing goes away if I ignore it but my HA mind can't ignore it.

hi i had throat cancer a year ago, had all my thyroid glands and calcium glands taken out, its hard but try and not worry, I'm ok now but on tabs for the rest of my life

there's a globus forum here for weird throat feelings. It's a very common anxiety symptom.

Yes and so is hypersensitive esophagus, another anxiety symptom.

I hear you all about this. I have to wait till the 1st of Feb to see an ENT doctor for further examination. Right now, I don't have any pain or difficulty swallowing. It just feels like there's something there.

So I'm going to see a doctor on Monday morning to examine my throat. The anxiety is building up. Waiting is tough.

So I saw a physicians assistant who did an exam and she did not notice anything out of place but she still wants me to see the ENT to rule out cancer. She didn't seem worried but that's just probably her great bedside manner. She looked in my throat but could not see down far enough. Apparently, the ENT doctor will numb my nose and then stick a camera down my nose into my throat to see what's going on in my throat. I am freaked out by all this and the fact I have to wait till Thursday. I am thinking of paying $40 to use the urgent care facility in my city but I don't know if they will have the right equipment to look down my throat. Any thoughts?
