Like, I feel like I have to compulsively research everything just so I could know everything.
This is happening again.
Have you noticed anything that comes with this? Perhaps increased anxiety?
I've had this too in various forms. It can have me researching supplements to too finer level so I've had to watch out for that. I've also had periods of higher anxiety where I couldn't stop myself asking people to repeat what they said because I felt I needed to ensure I absorbed it.
I expect some of this is tied into the perfectionism seen in OCD.
Learning to accept it is ok to walk away from things without always knowing everything about something or ensured you have covered all the bases in something you are working on (when it's too obsessive levels of detail) is very helpful because you start to practice being ok with that uncertainty. And there lies another common anxiety underpinning - uncertainty.

It’s all about control. The more you know makes it seem as if you have more control over everything. The problem is...there is no way to control everything. Living with anxiety means learning to accept that.
I'm still a work in progress.
