Agoraphobia,Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Hi all my name is clare and am 27. I have suffered from agoraphobia,panic atacks and anxiety for 5 years after suffering from a seizure whilst out shopping.

I stopped breathing and was taken to hospital where i was discharged after 10 days. Thats when i developed the Agoraphobia. I am slowly getting better and now trying to beat agoraphobia and having help from Mind.

I wish I found this site years ago when first diagnosed.

I have appeared in several magazines including bbc.co.uk under agoraphibia and even bbc radio stoke.

The magazines I have appeared in are:cosmopolitan,pick me up,womans weekly and others to explain my story. I also have designed a myspace under streetmodracing again telling my story,

After applying for various jobs working from home, as soon as they heard i got agoraphobia they didnt want to know so set up my own business.

Im now in my 2nd year and business is booming im pleased to say. Im also studying towards a degree in business studies with the open university and started a new job last week from home as a chat host which i love for a internet site.

hello madness and welcome sounds like your doing good,way back when i first got this i was in the local news myself in a group explaining what this is and how many people have this and cant get help cause they cant leave there homes or thot they were just losing it.we had tons of responses from that and our groups got bigger and bigger then one day it just all dwindled down....it was a very common name here in the states but duh me cant think of the name lol.i do that alot go blank.....wonder if its my age or stress or what but anyways sounds like your doing awsome keep up the good work and soon you might even have an office somewhere out there helping others I wish ya the best.......Linda
