I am planning a vacation for the end of next week with my daughter and my husband and myself. My son is 17 . He does not want to go with us. He will stay with family. Here's my worry. I am worried about planning this whole thing and then one of us getting sick. My daughter has been looking forward to this for a long time. I know there is no way I can control this, but it is causing me a lot of anxiety. Also, my son has a chronic medical condition and if he were to get sick, I would want to be here with him. I keep going back and forth with not going on vacation or going. I am really worried about this. Really just a rant. Thanks for listening

Please book it. If your son is staying with family then he’s well looked after.

I dreaded this last year, and my daughter did get sick 2 days before the holiday & was sick for most of it. She had a ball though! Then I caught it.... I still remember the holiday fondly though.

What if you go and none of you get sick and you have a fabulous time?

Thank you for the response. We have decided to go on our vacation. My latest issue is that for the past week, beginning in the late afternoon, I have been breaking out in hives. They itch a lot and are usually gone by early morning. I am so afraid of these hives. Anyone have any experience with hives? I think they may be from stress.
