i taking dotheipin as im supposedly "depressed" it states to avoid alcohol does this mean completely or could i have maybe one glass.......i didnt ask the pharmasist for fear of looking like a alcoholic as well as a depressive lol

I took Dothiepin many years ago and I never stopped drinking whilst on it.

My book of drugs says that it may increase the sedative effect so you may fall asleep after your glass of wine lol.

To be honest I don't remember that happening when I was on it and drinking.

hi fan. avoid i think means dont overdo it, I have been on different meds and Doctor usualy told me if i want a drink dont overdo it. But some meds do say do not drink with this medication. thats the time you dont drink. take care Vernon

Yep I'm on this med and still have a glass or two of wine. I find it doesn't really make any difference. But take it easy at first as I guess all people are affected differently. You should be fine though
