    its not fair!!!

    hi every one
have just spent 2 days without sleep,my daughter is having problems with her diabetes again, the doctors are trying to keep her from going in hospital, but thats o.k for them but i dont know how long i can stay brave for,her periods affect her glucose levels and as they are infrequent the doctors are un able to judge when to increase the insulin,i am alone and feel helpless,at least in hospital it takes away some of the responsabillity! my eye has started to twitch so i know i am starting to pannick again !

    Hi Julie,

Managing a brittle unstable diabetic is extremely draining and worrying.

Have you had a chance to try to find online a diabetes support group as they will be able to help you through the technical bits and you will learn loads as many diabetics are extremely well informed.
Most hospitals also have diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialists - its worth ringing the hospital switch board and asking them to bleep her so you can access some support from her too.

    Hi Tana

Sorry you are having these problems. It must be hard work looking after your daughter when you feel so bad yourself.

Are you a bit calmer now?

    hi nicola and meg,

there is support for me but most of the people live in another town,so timing has been difficult,i have tried locally but it would mean i would have to start a group myself,at this moment in time i am to low, doctors and specialist nurses change all the time, lily gets used to one then they leave or swop,we then have to explain it all over again, diabetes uk are brill, but its not hands on,understanding the fundemental problem is not the same as experiecing it, ill let you no how it goes x
