Talking Is this a good or bad idea?

I read online last night somewhere of a women who was highly sensitive to large (10mg) of Cipralex and the way to get around this issue was by providing the medication in a drops form so she could administer herself with as small a dose as possible (ie 1mg) and work up from there.

A big lightbulb came above my head and i thought *Maybe* i should do that, perhaps it would be easier to deal with side effects if you start of gently?

Off i went to the doctors and he gave me the drops. He said he daren't argue with me because i was being rather fiesty today....lol.

I KNOW it will take fricking weeks and weeks before i get to the 10mg dose but this is the only way i believe i can do it.

    Is this wise or not?
    Opinons would be great.
    Thanks.

Panic attacks started in 1992. 1998 i became agoraphobic which lead into being room bound. Couldn't even get upstairs. 2002 i started getting better, able to drive and work. 2005 i became house bound again. 2009 i have been making SLOW progress, still not able to go anywhere alone, but my journeys are getting longer. No where near 'normal' but at least i can go out.

I can't see any problem doing that, I'm sure your doc would have said something if he thought you would.

It seems like a sensible idea if you've had problems before?

I guess the only downside is that it will take even longer to work.

    Hi Bluebell

I think its a good idea if it helps you to take them, after all we reduce them slowly to come off them so why not start off slowly. if it helps in the end then its not problem.
